Book review: “The cry of fire”
In search of the most beautiful places in the country, the German author Hans Joachim Loewer traveled among other things, on foot, by bus and by bike in the most remote places in Mexico. Away from mass tourism, He chose his Mágicos México – 25 places with a magical aura – which he now in his book “The Cry of Fire: A Journey through the magical Mexico,” published.
During his trip, the author met with Mayan soldiers who consider themselves at war with the white teeth, he took part in a solemn crusade of Negros on Good Friday, rummaged through mystical caves in Vallodolid and experienced as the “Día de los Muertos” pay homage to thousands of Mexicans whimsical skeleton figures.
For many years the writer and former Star-traveled author and now Mexico is fascinated by the country's history and ancient civilizations. In his first book, “We are not dead yet,” he talks about his impressions he has gained in recent years by the Mayans, the Incas and the Aztecs. In his view, Mexico is a fascinating country which itself is aware of its history, and holds fast to its traditions. “A country governed, in which gods and spirits, sorcerers and healers, dreamers and traditionalists. A country that still clings to ancient cultures, which is proud of its heritage, “said Loewer. Mexico is unique in its way!
Come with Hans Joachim Loew on a remarkable journey through an extraordinary country and be inspired by the Mexican culture and vitality.
